JR Turnbull Communications was proud to be the official event planners for Detroit Homecoming IV. The three-day / three-venue event welcomed an impressive group of expats back home to get together, give back and spread the good news of Detroit’s rebirth,

Guests kicked off Detroit Homecoming with a candle-lit, Cinderella-like evening at the Michigan Central Station. The massive 104-year-old structure closed 30 years ago and has been a painful symbol of the city's decline. Detroit Homecoming was the first public event to take place there since 1988. Programming at the Michigan Central Station featured the an interview with Lily Tomlin, along with Mayor Duggan presenting her with the Key to Detroit. Day two included programming at The Factory in Corktown and a progressive dinner at Wright and Co., Little Caesars Arena and ending at the Detroit Institute of Arts for a performance from Martha Reeves and Mike Ellison. Friday concluded Detroit Homecoming back at the Factory in Corktown with breakfast, networking and speaker panels.
